Our mission
The Atlas Leap helps people build careers in cybersecurity and information technology without the cost of a traditional degree — funding certifications, teaching the skills employers actually test for, and staying with people from their first course through their first job and the ones after it.
Why we exist
The path into cybersecurity is not gated by talent. It's gated by cost, by information, and by knowing someone who's already inside.
A four-year degree isn't what most entry-level security jobs actually require — a certification and demonstrated hands-on work usually is. But the certification costs several hundred dollars, the training platforms cost more, and nobody tells you which one to take first. People who could do this work well stall out at an exam fee, or spend a year studying for the wrong credential.
We were founded in 2024 to remove those specific obstacles: pay for the certification, say plainly what to study, and stay in touch long enough to see it through.
Who runs it
Mohammad Umair — Founder & President
A certified Splunk consultant working in security operations for federal and defense clients. He built The Atlas Leap around the gap he kept seeing from the inside: capable people who never got in, and the small, fixable costs that kept them out.
